Dagen efter besøgte jeg Mewlewis, de dreiende Derwisher i Pera, disse have deres egen Dragt og et luftigt, smukt Kloster. (…) Nu begyndte Festligheden. En Skare Derwisher traadte ind; de have Alle bare Fødder, og vare indsvøbte hver i en stor, mørkegrøn Kappe; en hvid Filthat, vistnok en Alen høi og aldeles uden Skygge. (…) de bredte Armene ud og dreiede sig rundt altid til den samme Side; deres Skørt stod i Luften som en Tragt omkring dem.
